Which Model Fits Which Situation
| Situation | Products to look at first | Basis (confirmed facts) | Points to note |
|---|---|---|---|
| I want to buy officially in Korea and get after-sales service | Rokid Glasses, Even G2 | Rokid has an official Korean distributor and 1-year free after-sales service. G2 had an official Korean launch | Repair requests are not accepted for Rokid parallel-import units. The G2 official store is currently sold out, so check stock |
| I want to get prescription lenses in Korea | Rokid Glasses, Even G2 | Rokid's official retailer page lists 4 specialist opticians. G2 is ordered at 7 Papyrus (파피루스) stores | Free-form production at neighborhood opticians is not officially confirmed for any of the five models. For both models, the Korean lens price is given in store guidance (Unconfirmed) |
| I need offline translation for overseas business trips | INMO GO3, Rokid Glasses | GO3 includes Korean in its offline translation languages (official). Rokid translates offline with the glasses' built-in chip after a model is downloaded in the app (6 languages) | Rokid's offline language list differs between the global page and the Korean page. Check before buying |
| Face-to-face conversation translation speed is the top priority | Leion Hey 2 | Company-stated under 0.5 seconds (as low as 200ms) | No independent measurement found. No purchase route in Korea. The base edition is one-way; two-way requires the paid Pro |
| I want to try a HUD that is the lightest and cheapest | RayNeo iO | Official 33g, $499, 48 hours of typical use (official spec) | Not officially sold in Korea. Prescription is the integrated (one-piece) $658 option. Korean outside the app is Unconfirmed |
| I need a battery that lasts more than a day | Even G2, RayNeo iO | G2 is about 2 days of typical use (official); iO is 48 hours of typical use (official) | Heavy-use times are review measurements and differ by source |
| I also need a camera and speakers | INMO GO3, Rokid Glasses | Only these two models have a camera (GO3 8MP, Rokid 12MP) and speakers | Rokid cannot navigate in Korea (official). GO3 has complaints about translation delay (1 store review) |
| The app menu must be in Korean | Rokid Glasses, RayNeo iO | Rokid supports Korean in the app (official FAQ and Korean App Store). iO is listed in Korean on the Korean App Store | Korean in the glasses display menu is Unconfirmed for all five models. Hey 2 app languages are only English and Chinese |
| I want to use turn-by-turn directions | Even G2 | G2 has a Navigate feature, and its official support page says it uses Google Maps data | Navigation does not work for Rokid in Korea (official). iO has no navigation item at all |
Corrections Made by Web Verification
This is the result of checking the values in two research documents (Source A and Source B) against the manufacturers' official pages, official FAQs, App Store listings, and reliable media reports. The Source B body tables lower on this page may still contain the original, uncorrected values, so if the two differ, give priority to this list.
- Rokid does not support navigation in Korea. The official Korean product page states that navigation does not work in Korea because of Google Maps restrictions. Source A's description that "Google Maps Korean-language directions are top class" does not hold in Korea. ↗
- The Rokid charging case is 3,000mAh (Korea) and 3,150mAh (global). The 1,700mAh in Source A is the capacity of a single power capsule, not the case. ↗
- Rokid offline translation is in the official FAQ. After a language model is downloaded in the app, translation runs on the glasses' built-in chip, and there are 6 offline languages. Source B's "no official statement" is incorrect. However, the list of 6 languages differs between the global page and the Korean page. ↗
- Even G2 prescription orders in Korea are not made by entering a prescription at the official Korean store. The order is placed after a consultation with an optician at 7 Papyrus (파피루스) stores in Seoul and Gyeonggi (media report of 2026-10-23). Source A's "full set $900 to 1,000" is an old configuration; adding up current official prices, the non-prescription full configuration is $1,076. ↗↗
- That Korean is included in INMO GO3's offline translation and teleprompter was confirmed on the official page. Progressive prescription lenses are not "officially unsupported" but are ordered through partner opticians. The official page gives no figure for the GO3's RAM, and a media hands-on review says 256MB (no source found for the 2GB in Source B). ↗↗↗
- Korea is not among Leion Hey 2's official shipping countries. The Korean Wadiz (와디즈) funding ended on 2026-03-15, and Source B's "AI Babylon 799,000 KRW" was confirmed on the shop as an overseas direct-purchase price (7 to 21 days of delivery; KC certification in progress). The official product page now opens, and the US price of $549 is confirmed from it. App languages are only English and Chinese. No official source was found for Source A's statement that prescription production at Korean opticians is "possible". Brightness (1,500 nits versus 2,500 nits) was not stated because sources disagree. ↗↗↗
- RayNeo iO is not officially sold in Korea. Typical-use battery life of 48 hours is correct, and there was no source for "2 to 3 days". Korean is not in the offline translation and offline caption language lists. ↗↗
- INMO GO3's $509 and Full Kit $675, and the RayNeo iO discount, are limited-time prices. The end date of the GO3 sale could not be confirmed. ↗↗
- What could not be confirmed in the end: Korean in the glasses display menu for all five models, independent measurement of translation delay (Hey 2 and iO), the cost of changing Even G2 prescriptions, and the full original Reddit text.
Summary
All five are green monochrome HUD (Heads-Up Display) glasses, but their design philosophies differ. Only the INMO GO3 and Rokid Glasses have a camera and speakers; the lightest is the RayNeo iO (33g claimed); the Leion Hey 2 specializes in translation; the Even Realities G2 leads in general-purpose HUD use and its third-party app ecosystem; and the Rokid Glasses has its own OS (YodaOS Sprite) and a choice of AI models. One conclusion repeats across all five: software polish, not hardware, decides how they are rated.
- What do communities such as Reddit and reviewers actually praise, and what do they complain about again and again?
- From displays to subscription fees, laying out every feature: where do the products differ and where are they the same?
- Which pairings have head-to-head reviews, and which do not?
- Once your use case is fixed, which product should you pick, and what should you check before buying?
- What configurations does each product ship in, and when is each accessory needed?
- If you normally wear glasses, how do you get prescription lenses, and can a Korean optician make them?
- Do the app and the on-glasses screen show their guidance text in Korean?
Key Summary - The Hardware Is Mostly Good, the Software Divides Opinion
| Item | INMO GO3↗ | RayNeo iO↗ | Leion Hey 2↗ | Even G2↗ | Rokid Glasses↗ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| One-line verdict | The practical pick, with a swappable battery and offline translation. The app holds it back | The lightest and cheapest. AI features are still in beta | A dedicated translation tool. Excellent when it works; heavy, with a metered billing structure | The most complete general-purpose HUD. Controls and the ring hold it back | A full-featured model with camera, speakers and its own OS. Bugs hold it back |
| Biggest strength | 5-second battery swap, offline translation, camera | 33g, Smart Crown, battery, price | Translation speed under 0.5 seconds (company claim, largely accepted by reviewers), 2,500 nits | Display, 2-day battery, Even Hub, teleprompter | 49g integration, AI model choice, teleprompter, prescription +15~-15 |
| Biggest weakness | App rating 1.4 points, average camera, light leakage noted | Live Cues panned, Life Log errors, display placement | 49-60g, pressure on the temples, Pro per-minute billing | Touch misrecognition, R1 ring complaints, unstable connection, price | Recurring connection issues and bugs, measured battery 4-6 hours, mixed price listings |
| Camera / speakers | Both present | Neither | Neither | Neither | Both present |
| US price | $509 (listed regular price $699) | $449-499 | $549 | $599 (Brown 2 $649) | $699 (launch reports $599, Australia and Canada $999) |
| Hidden costs | Full kit $675, prescription $95-130 extra | VIP subscription $9.99 per month, prescription +$159 (repurchase to change) | Pro translation billed per minute (1,200 minutes included) | Prescription $159-349, R1 ring $249 | Charging case and Power Capsule sold separately, prescription frame $39 + lens cost |
The commonalities matter too. All five products are monochrome green, so none can show color photos or video. Three products (all except GO3 and Rokid) have no camera or speakers, so music, calls and photography are not possible. All five depend heavily on the smartphone and the cloud, and none works fully offline. Even Rokid, which has its own OS, can reportedly do little more than take photos without a phone, according to reviews. GO3's offline translation is simply the broadest of them. If translation is the goal, choose between GO3 (offline, camera photo translation) and Hey 2 (speed-focused); if you want notifications, navigation and a prompter in an everyday pair of glasses, G2; to try a HUD for the first time, light and inexpensive, iO is closest to the answer by review standards; and if you want camera, speakers and HUD in one device, Rokid is, together with GO3, one of only two candidates. However, the software gap between iO and G2, Hey 2's billing structure, GO3's app maturity, and Rokid's bugs and measured battery must be checked with the checklist below. Package contents, prescription and Korean UI are covered separately in the "Package Contents", "Prescription Lenses" and "Korean-Language UI" sections. Rokid is the only product with officially confirmed Korean guidance in its app, and Korean switching of the on-glasses menu is unconfirmed for all five products.

Head-to-head
Head-to-Head Comparisons - Pairings That Actually Met, and Pairings That Did Not
Even G2 vs RayNeo iO: The Matchup With the Most Reviews
| Item | RayNeo iO | Even G2 |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 23.5 degrees, 220 vertical lines, wide eyebox | 27.5 degrees, 350 vertical lines, natural display position |
| Conversation support | Live Cues beta, no record | Conversate, offers suggestions first, and keeps a record and summary |
| Ecosystem | No third-party apps | Even Hub, SDK, R1 ring |
| Recording feature | Life Log available (accuracy disputed) | No Life Log |
| Charging | Clip charging, no case needed | Cannot charge without the case |
| Measured overall | In the Display Tech Center comparison tool, both tie for 1st place at 4.22/5 (with audio not required). iO is ahead in comfort and battery, G2 in display |
The reviewers' shared conclusion is that on hardware and price the iO is equal or ahead, and on software polish the G2 is ahead. The Japanese hands-on article judged that conversation support alone is worth the 20,000 yen price gap.
Other Pairings: What Is Confirmed and What Is Not
- G2 vs GO3: In the measured translation comparison of 6 models, the best offline was the GO3, and the 1st place for real-time translation was neither of them but Rokid. The comparison framing is camera, swappable battery, and offline (GO3) versus prescription lenses, design, and battery endurance (G2).
- G2 vs Hey 2: The direct outlet comparison centers on the WIRED captions guide. Its conclusion is that the G2 is the No. 1 pick in this category, while the Hey 2 is the price leader but heavy. No direct user comparison post was found.
- Hey 2 vs XRAI AR2: WIRED confirmed that the hardware maker is the same. The differences are the app and the pricing plan.
- Rokid vs G2: This is the second-thickest matchup in reviews. The conclusion via Tom's Guide is that Rokid has more features than the G2 and packs in a bright display, camera, and speaker. The framing splits into Rokid if you need the camera, speaker, and its own OS, and the G2 if camera-free privacy, weight (36g), and a 2-day battery come first. Rokid's official comparison table also puts the two products side by side and compares 89 languages against 35 languages.
- Comparisons not found: hands-on comparison reviews of GO3 vs iO, GO3 vs Hey 2, iO vs Hey 2, and also Rokid vs iO, Rokid vs Hey 2, and Rokid vs GO3 were not confirmed in this research. The only comparison partners confirmed in Rokid reviews are the G2 and the Meta Ray-Ban line. Being mentioned side by side in a price table is all there is, and it is made clear that the verdicts on those axes on this page are based on spec comparison.
